The OKD Team

OKD is led by Olive and delivered by a small, dedicated team who each bring different skills, styles and specialisms.

Our teaching team includes ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre and hip hop specialists, chosen for both their expertise and their ability to work thoughtfully with children. Teachers are trusted to lead within their specialism, while sharing a common approach to care, structure and inclusion.

Behind the scenes, OKD is supported by an enrolment co-ordinator, a communications co-ordinator and external consultants, helping the organisation run smoothly and sustainably.

    Olive Kane

    FOUNDER, DIRECTOR & TEACHER

    Olive oversees OKD’s vision, curriculum and partnerships, ensuring consistency, quality and a supportive culture across all programmes. She trained in dance at Lewisham College and University of Surrey before working in dance education and producing roles in the arts for over 15 years.

    Sophie Walters

    TEACHER

    Sophie trained at Laine Theatre Arts before working as a singer and dancer. She continues to perform professionally across the UK alongside her teaching. She brings her infectious energy and kindness to our classes.

    Bailie-Marie Scanlon-Jones

    TEACHER

    Bailie-Marie grew up in Jamaica, where she trained under Tony Wilson, and later graduated from Millennium Performing Arts in the UK. She brings her passion for storytelling and creativity to the studio.

    Freya Mitchell

    TEACHER

    Freya moved from Manchester to London to train in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre at The Urdang Academy. She loves sharing her passion for dance with the next generation.

    TEACHER

    Sanai trained at The BRIT School before going on to work with choreographers and mentors in both Copenhagen and London. She loves helping children build confidence and creativity.

    Debbie Hii

    TEACHER

    Debbie is originally from Malaysia and trained in Music at Bristol. She has performed with Project PAC and at events such as Move It. She loves supporting children express themselves through the arts.

    Lily-Belle grew up dancing in East London. After graduating from Cambridge University she now brings her passion and creativity to our classes, workshops, and communications & marketing.

    Darcey Sheridan

    CLASS ASSISTANT

    Darcey danced with Olive from the age of 4, and is now a responsible and kind assistant for OKD. She is a wonderful role model in our younger classes and holiday workshops, supporting other young dancers.

    Carolyn Wysom

    ENROLMENT CO-ORDINATOR

    Carolyn brings a wealth of experience in performance, teaching, and administration to OKD. Carolyn can help point you to the right class for your child, and handles all of OKD’s enrolments for our weekly classes.
